Michelin Renovates Online Ordering Service
Users of Michelin’s BIB NET, the company’s online ordering service, will notice improvements when they access the redesigned system.
Users of Michelin’s BIB NET, the company’s online ordering service, will notice improvements when they access the redesigned system.
Although the functions of BIB NET remain the same, this update to current Internet technology will improve performance, response time and appearance.
BIB NET was originally designed for Michelin dealers. The online service is now available to fleets for viewing invoices, shipping notification, warranty claims and pricing.
The system, named after Bibendum -- the Michelin Man -- will have a number of new features, including drop-down menus and an information screen. In addition to improving the visual and functional updating of the site, BIB NET retains a powerful search engine so dealers and fleets can order products, schedule deliveries, check order status, make real-time inventory inquiries, receive advance shipment notices, create claims, view and download pricing and see a national account directory.
Users can now navigate to any active screen without returning to a main menu. Data screens are displayed in a cleaner, sharper format with options more clearly indicated, allowing for better visibility and increased productivity.
Dealers and fleets not registered to use BIB NET can take advantage of the self-registration feature by visiting www.michelinb2b.com, or by calling the BIB NET help desk at (888) 624-2638.
