Outstanding customer service earned MHC Kenworth Texas the Kenworth Medium Duty Dealer of the Year Award for the United States and Canada.
The dealership received the award recently during the annual Kenworth dealer meeting in Phoenix.
The dealership achieved a seven-fold increase in Kenworth T300 sales in its 2003 fiscal year, compared with 2000. "We made a commitment to the medium duty market in 2001 and hired a medium duty sales specialist," said Dan Stevens, senior vice president of MHC Kenworth's seven Texas locations.
"We felt the medium duty market in Texas had been under-served. We converted a building to a medium duty maintenance facility, with five service bays and five technicians, so those customers wouldn't have to wait for service. By combining a premium product in the Kenworth T300 with dedicated service and support, we are able to give the customer tremendous value."
"MHC Kenworth Texas decided medium duty customers deserved the same outstanding service as heavy-duty customers. They backed that commitment with a great service facility and dedicated maintenance staff," said Bob Christensen, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice president. "Their efforts are one of the reasons that the Kenworth T300 continues to grow in customer popularity."
MHC Kenworth Texas serves a broad range of medium duty applications in the Dallas market, according to Stevens. It provides sales support and service to customers, including liquor and beverage distributors, lumber companies, tow trucks and an auto parts distributor.
Kenworth Truck Company, a division of PACCAR Inc, is a leading manufacturer of heavy and medium duty trucks. Kenworth is the recipient of the 2003 J.D. Power and Associates award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Pickup and Delivery Segment Class 8 Trucks. Kenworth's Internet home page is at www.kenworth.com.
