The remanufactured air dryers are packaged with the same OEM-approved cartridges that are used on production vehicles and have the same drying performance specified by OEMs to reduce the risk of water damage to internal components.
The air dryers are made to meet most vocational requirements, are compact and lightweight and designed for easy installation.
"Remanufacturing has positive environmental impact because recycling components prevents waste of used materials and allows their continued usage by the customer,” said Tim Bauer, director of remanufacturing for Meritor.
Used cores can be returned to Meritor Wabco, which contributes to keeping the costs low for remanufactured product customers. The System Saver air dryer cores will be collected through Meritor's core center.
