Pressure Systems International has been working closely with Terion to create a system that allows carriers to maintain proper tire inflation as well as track trailer location and event information. The combination offers dual capabilities housed in one system, reducing complexity and additional components to a fleet’s trailer equipment. As an added benefit to the fleet, if a tire is being inflated for over 10 minutes while on the road, FleetView can report the event to fleet headquarters personnel via text message and/or the product¹s web interface.
Debra Moore, marketing coordinator and regional sales manager for PSI explained “It’s easy for LinkAmerica to then set up a service call with an authorized tire vendor in the area and instruct their driver to deliver the trailer for repair.”
The Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI is an advanced, automatic system. PSI pioneered automatic tire inflation producing the first system over 10 years ago and is currently protecting more than 1,700,000 tires against under inflation. By partnering with Terion, with over 85,000 devices installed, fleets can be confident of the reliability of both the trailer tracking and tire inflation capabilities provided.
LinkAmerica Corp. is a national network of regional freight carriers. Among LinkAmerica's stable of trucking companies are Danny Gilder; Interstate Express; Lane Freight; LinkAmerica Atlanta; LinkAmerica Expedited; Mercury Specialized; Seminole Transport; and Washita Freight.
PSI markets and sells its product through ArvinMeritor as the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI. For more information about Pressure Systems
