Nov. 18 – Leonard Buckman, president of Meritor Wabco (http://www.meritorauto.com), will address truck braking and antilock brakes today at the 1998 Society of Automotive Engineers Truck & Bus meeting in Indianapolis.
Buckman’s 30-minute lecture will review braking systems from the turn of the century to current ABS technology and will highlight future safety-improving technologies such as electronic braking systems and traction control. He will speak about reliability, responsiveness, federal requirements, potential benefits and driver feedback as they relate to ABS.
