The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) announces the merger of Management Information Systems Group Inc. (MISG) – MEMA’s commercial business-to-business data interchange subsidiary
– with ANXeBusiness Inc., the owner and operator of one of the world’s largest multi-provider data interchange networks.
“This combination will provide our members with improved service, access to additional trading partners and new technology,” said Bob McKenna, president and CEO of MEMA. “ANX is a technology leader in business-to-business data interchange, and this merger will benefit our members, as well as businesses in the other industries served by both groups.”
“Combining MISG, the automotive aftermarket’s most widely used purchase order delivery system provider with ANX, which manages the most widely used transaction deliver system in the automotive supply chain, will benefit the customers of both communities,” said Rich Stanbaugh, president and CEO of ANXeBusiness.
MISG provides data interchange services for more than 2,000 customers. ANXeBusiness provides its customers with products and services that support the transmission of mission-critical data. Vehicle manufacturers and automotive suppliers within the automotive industry use the ANX Network extensively. ANX also services customers in the financial, health care and heavy vehicle industries.
The transaction combines the clients, assets and trademarks of MISG with those of ANX. MISG, located in Research Triangle Park, N.C., has been developing solutions to facilitate industry-wide implementation of electronic document exchange for more than 25 years. Currently more than 2,000 companies use this service.
ANXeBusiness Inc., located in Southfield, Mich., acquired the rights to the ANX Network from the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) in 2001. This multi-provider network now connects more than 1,500 companies representing over $1 trillion in revenues. These companies use the ANX Network to conduct business critical data interchange. The network is highly reliable and is supported by industry-leading technology and service level agreements. ANXeBusiness was purchased by One Equity Partners (OEP) on Oct. 31, 2006.
MEMA represents more than 700 motor vehicle product manufacturers with nearly 12,000 U.S. plant locations and 1.2 million workers.
