McLeod Software, Birmingham, Ala., has completed its fiscal year with a new record for sales growth. The company's 2010 fiscal year shows a 56 percent sales increase over 2009.
"We continue to see extremely strong growth in investment in information technology from our customers in the transportation industry" says Tom McLeod, President and CEO of McLeod Software.
"2010 was a much better year overall for freight transportation, and our customers have invested in information technology solutions because of the very high rate of return for those investments. Well-managed companies are continuing to improve their operations with better systems."
McLeod explains the company has seen strong growth from existing customers who are expanding/upgrading their IT systems capabilities, and new customers who are implementing off the shelf solutions for trucking dispatch management, brokerage, business process automation, document management and imaging, and freight management.
"Every category of product and every type of customer segment we measure generated double digit growth for our 2010 fiscal year to contribute to this overall 56% increase," he said.
