McLeod Software Expands Online Customer Service Tools
McLeod Software Corp., Birmingham, Ala., recently added a computer-based training (CBT) courses to its online customer service tools.

The multimedia online training program, called, “LoadMaster V7 Super User Training,” offers various courses that explain the basic functions of LoadMaster Version 7, McLeod’s proprietary dispatch and accounting transportation management software.
Several of the interactive tutorial courses within the program include: “Becoming a LoadMaster Super User,” “LoadMaster Custom Financials,” and “LoadMaster Bank Reconciliation.”
Each LoadMaster Super User course is divided into lessons lasting about 10 minutes each. For customers without sound devices or with hearing disabilities, the script is displayed as text while it's being spoken. Additional online capabilities are scheduled to be added throughout 2005, so customers are encouraged to check back frequently.
The most recent online tutorial, “Becoming a LoadMaster Super User,” received an APEX award of Excellence in Education & Training Video & Electronic Publications by the editors of Writing that Works that recognizes excellence in publication work by professional communicators The award-winning training course explains the functionalities of LoadMaster v7, McLeod’s flagship proprietary transportation management software.
“The LoadMaster Super User tutorial is a perfect way to lessen the learning curve and get users up to speed on LoadMaster V7,” stated Tom McLeod, president and chief executive officer of McLeod Software. “This training course enables our customers to maximize the return on the investment they have made in our software, and provides another channel for customers and employees to access the training they need,” McLeod noted.
