The organizers of the Mid-America Trucking Show will continue to hold the big show in Louisville, Ky., at least for the next 10 years.
The producers have signed a 10-year contract to stay at the Kentucky Exposition Center through 2020, according to reports by the Louisville Courier-Journal. The 2010 show will also be held in Louisville this week.

The Mid-America Trucking Show began in the early 1970s, when a private management group was formed by Paul K. Young, to create the largest and most diversified trucking show in the U.S. The first show was held in 1972 with 80 Exhibitors and 4,000 visitors in attendance. The show occupied a portion of the West Wing of the original Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. This year, organizers expect more than 950 companies to showcase products and more than 70,000 attendees representing the heavy-duty trucking industry.

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, the old contract was for 20 years, with several extensions.
