The 2012 MATS Health Awareness Walk is a non-competitive 1.5-mile walk during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ken., to promote health in the industry.
The walk, which will take place Friday, March 23 at 9 a.m., is for anyone in the trucking industry who wants to get fit, stay healthy or get tips to enhance their workouts. Participants can choose to walk part or all of the 1.5-mile distance.
There is no cost, but registration is required. Register at truckingsolutionsgroup.org or at MATS at the TA/Petro booth #19156. Participants will receive T-shirts and goodie bags, while supplies last, as well as health information and giveaways. Walkers will meet in the west wing of the Kentucky Expo Center in room WH2 at 8 a.m. Friday morning. Refreshments will be served prior to the walk.
TravelCenters of America and Trucking Solutions Group are sponsoring the event.
