Maptuit Set to Launch Internet-Based, Truck-Sensitive, Fuel-Optimized Routes for Owner Operators

Maptuit Corp., Burlington, Mass., announced it will deliver FleetNav Express to the owner operator market later this year.

FleetNav Express will offer the owner operator an online and mobile phone solution providing accurate directions and optimized fuel plans for single-point or multi-point routes on truck-designated roads.
FleetNav Express is a pay-per-use application that asks drivers to type in the point any stops and the final destination. FleetNav Express the returns directions and a map to the driver in a printer-friendly format or to their mobile phone.
"Owner operators are now able to benefit from the many engineering years we have invested in building Maptuit's FleetNav," said Rick Turek, Maptuit’s chief technology officer. "The key capabilities that America's premiere fleets have been utilizing, will now be available through FleetNav Express, delivering a navigational companion on the road for the professional driver - providing the best maps, directions routes and fuel plans specifically designed for the Owner Operator"
According to the Maptuit announcement, FleetNav Express will be available later this year through Maptuit's website. Drivers will reap benefits from FleetNav Express' optimized fuel plans, and least-cost truck-friendly routes.
Maptuit provides truck-sensitive driver directions to major fleets through major mobile communications providers.
