A major international conference on truck sizes and weights and dimensions will be held in Australia.
The fifth International Symposium on Heavy Vehicle Weights and Dimensions is scheduled for Twin Waters Resort, Maroochydore, Queensland, Australia, from March 29 to April 2, 1998.
The symposium will gather researchers, policymakers and industry leaders from around the world to discuss recent developments in truck freight systems and the future of heavy vehicle and rail transport systems.
There will be 70 papers covering issues including vehicle stability, dynamic wheel loads and ride quality; effects of vehicles on pavements and bridges; monitoring and enforcement technologies; advanced suspensions and vehicles for the future; regulatory development; and road geometry.
