Mahle Clevite, Ann Arbor, Mich., has agreed to co-host the upcoming Tech and Skills Regional Conference, a career development and networking event sponsored by AERA, an associaiton of engine builders and rebuilders
. The one-day conference will be held Oct. 10 at University of Northwest Ohio in Lima.
The conference gathers engine builders, rebuilders, production engine remanufacturers and installers. The first technical session will feature Mahle Clevite's Bill McKnight, training manager and motorsports sales and technical representative. McKnight's session will focus on teaching attendees how to recognize different signs and symptoms of bearing distress. In addition, attendees will receive a free Mahle Clevite digital bearing distress guide, which highlights 25 common signs and symptoms of distressed engine bearings.
"As co-host of the Tech & Skills Regional Conference, Mahle Clevite will have the opportunity to share its technical expertise with attendees looking to receive the benefits of a large conference in a smaller, regional setting," McKnight said.
The Tech & Skills Regional Conference replaces AERA's annual trade show with four, day-long regional conferences. Other regional conferences have already been held in Tennessee, and an additional one will be held in Dallas, Texas, Nov. 14.
