LuK Offers New Clutch Line for Commercial Vehicles
LuK Automotive Systems, a manufacturer of diaphragm-spring clutch technology, recently introduced a line of medium- and heavy-duty clutches for Class 6, 7 and 8 vehicles. The all-ne

LuK design delivers smooth, progressive engagement, durability and the lowest pedal effort on the market.
LuK created a clutch that is engineered for today's high-tech drivelines. The result is a simple, robust, reliable design that has already logged millions of trouble-free miles in applications worldwide, according to the company. Protecting sensitive driveline components was a design priority. LuK's quiet-disc technology isolates gear rattle, idle noise and other potentially destructive vibrations to deliver smooth, crisp shifts mile after mile.
The new line offers maximum coverage with minimum shelf space. Just 11 sets cover most applications, from a 2,250 pounds-foot torque-rated 15.5-inch heavy-duty two-plate to a 14.5-inch medium-duty single-plate rated at 620 pounds-feet. In addition to its heavy-duty, precision-manufactured cerametallic facings, LuK offers a 14.5-inch cushioned organic option for medium-duty applications where more comfort and control are needed. Flat or potted flywheel, standard or roller yoke configuration, LuK has a clutch for the application. Each set comes complete with a premium-quality clutch, disc(s) and release bearing.
LuK products are manufactured and distributed to automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarkets in the United States and Canada. For more information call (800) 274-5001 or log on to www.lukclutch.com/cv.
