Love's Travel Stops announced it opened a new travel stops in Williston, N.D., to serve the booming oil business there, and another one in Leary, Texas.
Williston sits in the center of the large Bakken oil formation and has seen rapid population growth and development as a result of an oil boom.
"Typically, Love's are built on interstates with a lot of long-haul traffic," said Rick Shuffield, director of real estate. "Williston has some long-haul traffic, but our decision to build there is based on the needs of local haulers, the change in the population base and the huge amount of temporary assignment workers in town," he said.
Love's in Williston features a Chester's Chicken restaurant, 115 truck parking spaces, five showers, bulk DEF and more. The store has catered the product line to the local area, so it is stocked with work boots, work gloves, authorized oil field fire-resistant clothing and more. This location resembles a small grocery store, with larger sizes and quantities of food items, laundry detergent and other household necessities.
Love's in Leary, Texas, also opened its doors for business today. The location features McDonald's and Subway restaurants, 100 truck parking spaces, CAT scales, five showers, a game room and other amenities to serve professional drivers.
Both new travel stops have Love's Truck Tire Care centers located on-site. Love's Truck Tire Care centers carry an extensive selection of tires and offer a variety of tire maintenance services.
