TMW Systems Inc., among the largest providers of enterprise management software for the trucking industry, has recently added several logistics firms – including six third-party logistics providers
(3PL) to its portfolio of 570 customers.
TMW reports that at least 75 percent of its customers are engaged in some level of logistics or brokerage operations and that many of these organizations depend upon logistics operations for a significant portion of their revenues.
David Wangler, president and CEO of TMW, said, "TMW is uniquely positioned to address the specialized needs of logistics firms. The capacity shortage is driving the increased demand for logistics services, and our transportation management software has proven to help these firms meet the demands of their customers in today's environment."
Two of the newest logistics customers TMW has added include Transport Resources and Quality Logistics.
Transport Resources, a logistics and bulk equipment leasing company headquartered in Matawan, N.J., made its selection based on the software solution. Ralph Nappi, Transport Resources' president, said, "When we reviewed TMW's solution to service our logistics business, we knew there was no other choice."
For Boca Raton, Fla.-based Quality Logistics the reason for selecting TMW was clear, too. Quality Logistics' General Manager Donna DelRosso said, "As we position our company for growth, we want to make it easy for our customers to do business with us. For that we need cutting-edge technology, something we found in TMW's products. We also chose TMW because of its position in the marketplace, the company's viability and the scalability TMW's products provide to support our growth."
