Interstate Equipment Leasing will supply 3,000 new Kenworth trucks over the next three years for use in Swift Transportation's owner-operator fleet.
The Kenworth trucks will be specified with many options desired by owner-operators and will foster driver recruitment and retention at Phoenix, Ariz.-based Swift Transportation, operating the largest power unit fleet of any truckload motor carrier in the United States.
Swift is the holding company for Swift Transportation Co. Inc., a truckload carrier headquartered in Phoenix. Swift's trucking subsidiary has regional operations throughout the continental United States.
Kenworth Truck Co., a division of Paccar Inc., is the recipient of the 2003 J.D. Power and Associates award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Pickup and Delivery Segment Class 8 Trucks.
