"This is a great opportunity for brokerage carriers," said Landstar President and CEO Henry Gerkens. "Those choosing to take advantage of LandstarBroker.com will find the load search process easy and more attuned to their needs."
The load board provides carriers with search opportunities enabling them to make the best decisions. They can choose the right freight headed in the right direction at the right time. Third-party capacity providers can peruse the new brokerage board for free to find a load that meets their needs.
"The added bonus for these carriers will be their immediate ability to participate in our Landstar SavingsPlus program," said Gerkens, referring to the company's volume discount purchasing program for third-party capacity providers. There are no credit requirements or membership fees to participate in the Landstar SavingsPlus program and the card is free.
Third-party carriers hauling Landstar freight can realize savings through fuel discounts by using their SavingsPlus card.
LandstarBroker.com and Landstar SavingsPlus are part of the company's ongoing effort to provide meaningful benefits to smaller carriers that can add value to their businesses through Landstar's extensive network of independent sales agents and other administrative and cost-saving opportunities.
