Bendix Wingman Fusion integrates a suite of Bendix safety technologies, such as radar, camera, the vehicles’ foundation brake system, and SafetyDirect by Bendix CVS, into a comprehensive driver assistance system.
Built on the Bendix ESP full stability program, Wingman Fusion offers collision mitigation, lane departure warning, stationary vehicle braking, and overspeed alert and action. The system is designed to quickly assess situations and react earlier than a driver is capable, alerting a driver and decreasing a vehicle’s speed by up to 40% more than Bendix Wingman Advanced, while also reducing false alerts and false interventions.
Bendix Wingman Fusion is also available as an option for the vocational Kenworth T880, and on the medium-duty Kenworth T270 and T370 models.
“Kenworth continues to roll out technologies that benefit our customers and enhance safety. We began offering Bendix Wingman Fusion as a Kenworth T680 option two years ago. The system has proven to be a popular choice among fleets and truck operators,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director.
