Kenworth Truck Company and Paccar Parts were recently honored with a Supplier Partnership in Excellence Award presented by Swift Transportation.
The award recognizes Kenworth's outstanding performance in providing parts support through the Kenworth dealer network and Paccar Parts to Swift Transportation in 2008. Swift Transportation measures supplier performance based on an annual survey completed by its various maintenance facilities located throughout the United States. Swift Transportation facilities rated Kenworth first in its class based on parts availability, delivery service levels, training, ease and accuracy of the paperwork process, parts return policy, training, and website ease of use.
"It's a great honor for Kenworth to receive this honor from Swift Transportation," said Bill Kozek, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice president. "The Kenworth dealer network and the Paccar Parts organization played a key role in helping provide outstanding support on a daily basis."
Swift Transportation, which maintains its headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz., created its annual shop supplier appreciation program to recognize outstanding suppliers for their quality of service and ongoing performance in excellence with the Swift shops. The Swift Transportation fleet includes Kenworth T2000, T660 and W900 models.
