Kenworth Sales Company celebrated the opening of its newest location near Vernal, Utah with a grand opening that drew more than 300 people.
The dealership features six service bays, with one bay dedicated to Kenworth PremierCare Express Lube services. A 750 square-foot parts retail display area complements a 3,500-square-foot parts warehouse. The new location also offers parts delivery service and a comfortable driver lounge.
"Continued growth in oil and gas production and exploration in the nearby South Ouray and the Res Wash fields has created a great need for this new parts and service facility," said Kip Ekker, general manager of the Vernal location. "We're pleased to respond to that need with this new store located in the remote northeastern corner of Utah, 30 miles west of the Colorado border. It will allow us to provide our customers immediate access to TRP Aftermarket Parts and five factory-trained service technicians.
"This new facility serves the town of Vernal and its neighboring communities, including Naples," Ekker said. "It's located a few hundred yards south of the corner of U.S. Route 40 and South 5400 East within sight of the highway. Before we opened here, customers had to drive two hours south to our facility in Price, Utah, or three hours west to our West Valley City location in the Salt Lake City area."
The new Kenworth Sales Company facility is located east of Vernal, Utah at 5259 South 5400 East in Naples. It's open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 435-789-1430. The service manager is Colby Shaw and the parts manager is Dane Christiansen.
