Kenworth of Pennsylvania Opens Full-Service Facility in Dunmore

The new 30,000 square-foot full-service facility is located on 11 acres at 109 Keystone Industrial Park in Dunmore.


The dealership features a 17,000 square-foot service department with six drive-through service bays. One bay is dedicated for truck washing and preventive and express maintenance services, including Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube. Service technicians are certified to work on the 12.9-liter Paccar MX engine. The dealership provides an extensive menu of body shop repairs.

The well-stocked, 3,000 square-foot parts display area, which includes TRP Aftermarket Parts, is supported by a 7,000 square-foot parts warehouse to provide excellent availability. Parts delivery service is offered five days a week. The new location has such amenities as a comfortable drivers' lounge with recliner chairs and 42-inch big screen television. Showers also are available. A motel one block away offers a discounted rate to Kenworth of Pennsylvania customers with a truck in the shop overnight.

"Kenworth of Pennsylvania has operated a dealership in Dunmore for the past 30 years. We made a very significant investment to provide customers with a brand new and larger facility, which offers a wide selection of quality Kenworth heavy and medium duty trucks in addition to excellent parts, service and body shop support," said Gary Mitchell, president of Kenworth of Pennsylvania, which also operates dealerships in Carlisle, Clintonville, New Stanton and Shartlesville, Pa.

The dealership offers Kenworth PremierCare parts and service programs; PacLease services such as customized full-service leasing programs and truck rentals; and Paccar Financial support through flexible retail loans, leases and insurance products for the transportation industry.

Kenworth of Pennsylvania - Dunmore is open from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday and 7 a.m to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The phone number is 570-347-5671. Key personnel include: Fred Pope, branch manager; Willie Hobbs, service manager; and Charlie Heller, parts manager.

The location offers convenient access to three major highways: I-81, a major regional north-south truck route; I-84, gateway to New England; and I-380 to New Jersey and New York. Spacious truck parking is available.
