Kenworth Northwest in SeaTac, Wash., was named Kenworth Dealer of the Year
for the United States and Canada during the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting in Tucson, Ariz.
"Kenworth Northwest employees are really the ones that deserve this award," said Marshall Cymbaluk, Kenworth Northwest president and general manager, during the awards ceremony. "I'm very proud to take this award home. I certainly wasn't expecting this being the new kid on the block. It's certainly been fun, interesting and challenging. There's still a lot of opportunity out there."
Cymbaluk purchased Kenworth Northwest in 1997. His organization captured Kenworth's West Region award at last year's Kenworth Dealer Meeting. Kenworth Northwest has locations in SeaTac, Aberdeen, Marysville, Bellingham and Yakima. They also operate the Kenworth Alaska stores in Anchorage and Fairbanks.
"Kenworth Northwest did an outstanding job in 2000, especially considering the industry's tough market conditions," said Ed Caudill, Kenworth general
manager and PACCAR vice president. "They added a new facility in Bellingham, remodeled current facilities, offered mobile service, and continued to strengthen parts and service operations. In addition, their market share was over 25 percent for the third consecutive year."
Also announced at the meeting were Kenworth's Regional Dealers of the Year for 2000. Winners were: Canada: Edmonton Kenworth; Edmonton, Alb.; Central: French-Ellison Truck Centers, Pharr, Texas; Northeast: Kenworth Truck of Upstate New York, Buffalo, N.Y.; and Southeast: Truck Enterprises, Harrisonburg, Va. In addition, Kenworth of Indianapolis received Kenworth's Medium Duty Dealer of the Year honors for the U.S. and Canada.
