Kenworth Truck Co. and the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Assn. (OOIDA) are extending a joint program that offers a $1,000 rebate to OOIDA members on qualifying purchases of new Kenworth trucks with sleeper units
of 72 inches or larger.
The rebate offer, which was introduced in July 2002, is now available through the end of the year. OOIDA members who order a new Kenworth for purchase -- or purchase a new vehicle from Kenworth dealer stock -- will be mailed a $1,000 rebate.
To qualify, new truck orders must be received by Dec. 31, 2003. Delivery must take place between Feb. 1, 2003 and March 31, 2004.
In addition, the owner-operator must note their OOIDA affiliation, and present their OOIDA membership card to the Kenworth dealer at the time of truck purchase. Limit for a single contractor is 10 trucks per year, or up to a maximum total rebate of $10,000. This rebate cannot be combined with any other Kenworth rebate offer.
"Kenworth and owner-operators have a long history together, especially thanks to their high regard for our traditional, long-nose W900L conventional model," said Jeff Sass, Kenworth's on-highway market segment manager.
OOIDA was founded 30 years ago as an advocacy group for owner-operators and independent truck drivers and currently has more than 90,000 members.
