Jubitz Travel Center is upgrading the Driver Services Lounge at its Portland, Ore., facility.
The Top of the Stop, located in the Jubitz Drivers Services building, began renovation March 25 and reopened April 18. Along with replacing the carpet, window and wall coverings and ceiling fixtures, Jubitz is upgrading the furniture with all custom end tables and counter space, bistro-style tables and seating. Four Lincoln lounge chairs will be placed in front of a new 58-inch plasma television.
Jubitz is located at Exit 307 off I-5, near the Oregon/Washington border. It has been a fixture in the Northwest and nationally since 1958, and is consistently recognized as one of the top 10 truck stops in America. Jubitz' Portlander Inn & Marketplace complex features a 100-room hotel, 24-hour full-service Cascade Grill restaurant, the Ponderosa Lounge, 80-seat Cinema movie theater, gas station and convenience store, as well as a barbershop/hair salon, chiropractor and laundromat, and has become a favorite destination for local residents as well as for professional drivers.
In addition to the Travel Center, other divisions of the Jubitz Corporation include Jubitz Fleet Services, one of the largest Pacific Pride franchises in the U.S., and the Jubitz Ambest Service Center providing truck maintenance and repair services.
