J.B. Hunt Honors Safe Drivers, Million Milers

J.B. Hunt, a truckload carrier based in Lowell, Ark., recently announced its second and third quarter million-mile safe drivers.

Tommy Whitman, a 23-year J.B. Hunt veteran driver, was honored at a surprise reception at the corporate offices for clocking 3 million safe miles. He is only the second driver in the company’s history to accomplish this feat.
The company rewards driver safety by recognizing those who drive 1 million safe miles with a cash award of $5,000. Drivers reaching 2 million safe miles with the company receive $10,000, and drivers reaching 3 million safe miles with the company receive $20,000. Currently J.B. Hunt has 726 1-million-mile drivers, 27 2-million-mile drivers and two 3-million-mile drivers on the road today.
J.B. Hunt drivers reaching the 2 million safe miles mark during the second quarter were Larry Allen and Eugene Hankins. Drivers reaching the 2 million safe mile mark during the third quarter were Orville Gregory, Fred Davis and Jerry Warren.
J.B. Hunt drivers reaching the 1 million safe miles mark during the second quarter were Eugene Acree, Ronald Adams, Ronald Albarado, Ellis Barber, Charles Barker, Tom Bender, Larry Bettis, Dennis Bowman, Gathen Burnette, Dwight Crew, William Dawson, Anthony Dewey, William Dill, Kelly Dougherty, Charles Eble, Dan Eckert, Bruce Griffin, Gary Grunhardt, John Hamrick, Allen Hare, James Huff, Joseph Judge, Glenn Kalina, Stephen Knutti, Brian Lipscomb, Joe Miranda, Michael Smith, Ronnie Strickland, Clayton Wallace and Robert Wells.

Hunt drivers reaching the 1 million safe miles mark during the second quarter were James Acree, William Amador, Eddie Baker, Robert Barnett, Mark Battle, Ralph Bonmon, Jeffrey Burns, George Caro, Stephen Cassedy, Rodney Collins, Dennis Cornelius, Larry Crowley, Lawrence Cotterill, Samuel Davis, James Emery, Bandele Ezekiel, Gregory Ferguson, Michael Flahive, Geoffrey Graves, Perry Gross, Douglas Hamric, Jackie Hayes, Tony Hunte, Ricky James, Jerry Johnson, Raymond Kurland, Ricky Lambert, Norman Lambrecht, Kenneth Lowe, John Mathes, Michael McClain, Lawrence Moock, Harry Ogwin, Art Ponce, Michael Richardson, Kenneth Rivera, Danny Swaner, Elmo Terrell, James Williams and David Williamson.
