J.B. Hunt Commits To Terion's FleetView 3 Trailer Tracking
Terion Inc., Plano, Texas, announced Thursday that J.B. Hunt Transport Services has signed an agreement for the continued deployment of FleetView 3 trailer trackin

Terion Inc., Plano, Texas, announced Thursday that J.B. Hunt Transport Services has signed an agreement for the continued deployment of FleetView 3 trailer tracking
within its Truckload and Dedicated Contract Services operating segments.
J.B. Hunt will continue to use earlier generation FleetView 2.5 and add FleetView 3 as needed to support business expansion.
J.B. Hunt is currently installing Terion's Tractor ID product to its entire tractor fleet. Tractor ID uses power line communications technology to identify the tractor hooked to any FleetView-equipped trailer. The FleetView unit can then report the tractor's identification code and fleet code based on configurable logic in the device. Tractor ID can also help identify an unauthorized tractor hooked to a trailer.
The benefits delivered to J.B. Hunt with the implementation of Tractor ID are significant:
* Validates the correct trailer number hooked to the tractor for optimal trailer pool management.
* Minimizes expensive trailer misdirects by providing an alert when the wrong tractor is connected to the trailer.
* Tightens management of trailers between divisional operating segments.
* Reduces cargo theft and improves security by providing an alert when a trailer is connected to an unauthorized tractor.
