J. J. Keller & Associates Inc. has added a Reefer Tax Refund and Advisory Service to its transportation offerings, providing customers with a simplified way to manage their reefer tax refund process.
The new service complements Keller’s transportation services by helping companies that have trucks with refrigerated units determine if they are eligible for reefer tax refunds (refunds on fuel purchased to power the truck’s refrigerated unit), and securing those refunds for customers.
Reefer tax refunds are available from most states and are retroactive in many states for as far back as three years.
With the Advisory Service, Keller will provide a free, no-obligation consultation to review the company’s fuel receipts and advise the company whether it is eligible to pursue reefer tax refunds. The company can then choose to pay a fee to have Keller secure their refunds.
Through the Reefer Tax Refund and Advisory Service, Keller will submit refund statements quarterly, semi-annually or annually, as dictated by each applicable state, and provide the company with a quarterly update of all refund applications. Keller will also track the refund process to ensure timely receipt of refunds.
J. J. Keller & Associates, headquartered in Neenah, Wis., is a specialized publisher and services provider offering ready-made and custom safety and regulatory-compliance products and services to customers throughout North America.
Keller also provides safety consulting, on-site training and a variety of transportation services, including licensing, permitting, fuel tax reporting, driver qualification file management and drug and alcohol program management.
