American Isuzu Motors reports that 1999 saw the best commercial vehicle retail sales in the company's history.

With the NPR Diesel, NPR Gas, NQR and FTR each setting new annual sales records, Isuzu truck sales topped 20,000 units. Isuzu dealer network sales were up 31% over the record sales figures of the 1998 model year.
In the low cab forward market (Class 2C through Class 4), Isuzu commercial trucks have a 60% market share. Isuzu Class 5-7 low cab forwards posted a one-year increase of 8 points in market share, rising from 24% to 32%.
Isuzu's number one seller, the NPR Diesel, set a sales record of 11,463. In its first full year of sales, the Class 5 NQR sold 2,100 trucks, just short of doubling the previous year's figure.
