Interstate Connections, LLC, a distributor of mobile electronics in truck and travel centers, has joined with Sirius Satellite Radio to expand Sirius' availability through Interstate's network of stores.
Interstate, with its 70 store-within-a-store outlets located in Travel Centers of America and Petro Shopping Centers, will provide Sirius with direct access to professional truck drivers through Interstate's assisted sales floors across the U.S.
In conjunction with Sirius' products, such as the Brix Streamer, designed specifically for the professional driver and distributed by Pana-Pacific Corp., the agreement uniquely positions both parties to tap into the heavy truck aftermarket that today represents about 3.5 million potential subscribers.
"We feel that Sirius' line-up, including live sports, around-the-clock traffic and weather reports as well as the Sirius Trucking Network, are the perfect complement to any long-haul operators lifestyle," said Brandon Frye, CEO of Interstate Connections.
"Interstate's store-within-a-store approach and assisted sales floor ensures truckers understand all the benefits of Sirius and will get great customer service no matter where they drive," said Tom Steckbeck, vice president of Non-Automotive OEM and Specialty Markets for Sirius.
