Interstate Connections Ltd., which provides wireless solutions to the interstate trucking industry has signed an agreement with NetSpend, which markets proprietary prepaid cards, to sell the NetSpend All-Access Visa Prepaid Card
issued by MetaBank.
Under the agreement, Interstate Connections will immediately begin offering the All-Access Prepaid Card across its network of 100 retail interstate travel centers and truckstops throughout the United States.
Over-the-road professional truck drivers typically spend 22 days a month on the road. With little time at home and limited access to banks, many operate on a cash-only basis, preferring cash for its convenience and flexibility. Carrying large amounts of cash, however, poses safety challenges. With the All-Access Prepaid Card, NetSpend and Interstate Connections offer truck drivers a payment tool with the convenience and flexibility of cash and the security and features of a debit card.
"In an industry where people travel for extended periods, they need a simple, safe and convenient card solution," said Rick Savard, CEO, NetSpend. "The combination of Interstate Connections' knowledge of the trucking industry and NetSpend's knowledge of prepaid cards and the self-banked, are a perfect match to meet the needs of truck drivers."
Cardholders can use the All-Access Prepaid Card anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted and can easily reload from the road at any one of Interstate Connections' expanding network of outlets or at any authorized distributor in NetSpend's national network.
Cardholders can activate card features, learn more about card benefits and locate convenient outlets for reloading at www.netspend.com.
