The Minnesota Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to use westbound Interstate 694 to southbound Interstate 35 East or southbound Highway 61 to westbound Interstate 494 as a way to bypass the closure.
In addition, drivers may encounter daytime delays in both directions of Interstate 94 this week in Roseville, Minn. as workers inspect bridges crossing the interstate between Dale Street and Pelham Boulevard. There will be intermittent lane and shoulder closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 5.
The inspections are needed to prepare construction plans for bridge work to take place during the 2016 construction season.
