For the first time, drivers of conventional Class 8 tractors can now own a limited-edition International 9900i or 9900ix model displaying the official NASCAR colors.
Only 200 of these collector's edition vehicles will be produced through a partnership between International Truck and Engine Corp. and NASCAR.
Each limited edition International 9900i or 9900ix 6 x 4 tractor will feature a unique package of chrome and stainless accessories, vinyl graphics and NASCAR badging. Available with up to 565 horsepower under the long-nose hood, the NASCAR package also provides savings off a mobile Delphi XM SKYFi receiver that gives drivers the chance to hear their favorite NASCAR events while driving down the road.
International designed the limited-edition package with owner-operators in mind, but also intends to market the premium vehicle to fleet owners seeking to reward their top performers with a special new tractor.
For owner operators, the International 9900i delivers all the highlights of a classic premium conventional, including a chrome package and full-width bumper. Redesigned interiors provide the comfort and stability of an air-suspension cab designed to make driving more enjoyable. The International sleeper cabins measure 96 inches across and provide storage space, comfort and convenience.
The International Eagle 9900ix comes with Eagle trim features inside and out. Additional features include:
-- Dual external stainless steel air cleaners and available dual cab-mounted exhaust
-- Heat-treated alloy steel (110,000 psi yield) 5/16-inch (0.79 cm) and 3/8-inch (0.95 cm) frame rails
-- Innovative flow-through aero sunshade keeps airflow unrestricted
-- Multi-layer finish sealed with a clear urethane outer coat for durable, deep, rich color
-- Standard air-ride cab suspension system provides a remarkably smooth ride
-- International Ride Optimized Suspension available for improved vehicle ride and handling as well as increased driver comfort and control
-- Pinpoint steering geometry and parabolic taperleaf front suspension
-- Fully curved sloped, wraparound windshield, enlarged windows and mirrors provide outstanding visibility around the cab
-- Standard wide-track front axles improved wheel cut for a tighter turning radius and better maneuverability
-- Inside the cab, outstanding headroom, belly room and legroom ensure maximum comfort
-- Cab and engine compartment feature color-coded air lines and 100% Quality Connect fittings for greater resistance to air leaks
-- Three-piece, center-mounted hood with integral splash panels and tilt assist allow for quick and easy engine compartment access
-- Easy access to air cleaner, windshield washer reservoir, oil, battery and other items make routine maintenance quick and easy
-- Self-diagnostic instrument cluster test is activated when ignition key is turned on
-- HVAC system's electronic controls eliminate need for cable service adjustments and automatically cycle the A/C compressor during winter months.
