Installations Rise for @Track
Things are looking up for @Track Communications, Richardson, Texas

The provider of Series 5000 (formerly called HighwayMaster Series 5000) mobile communications and TrackWare trailer tracking reports that unit installations have increased significantly since the company emerged from a financial crisis this summer.
Last December, @Track was advised its stock would be delisted from the Nasdaq exchange. But the company struggled back from the brink and in June, @Track stockholders approved a plan to sell 30 million shares of common stock to Minorplanet Systems, PLC, a British mobile communications company, which became @Track’s majority stockholder and strategic partner. The plan restored stability and the delisting did not occur.
According to @Track’s announcement, most of the new installations have been for member companies of SBC Communications, the telecommunications giant that owns Southwestern Bell and Pacific Bell among other operations. @Track first announced the SBC deal in 1999.
@Track also announced that T&M Express of Washington Court House, Ohio, will install TrackWare on its company trailers. T&M already uses @Track's Series 5000 for driver communications.
@Track said it expects unit sales for the month of September to result in increased product revenue when compared to the second quarter of 2001.
