If your truck breaks down on or near a bridge in the St. Louis area, better get it moved quickly.

Missouri and Illinois officials are towing suspicious or abandoned vehicles near bridges, overpasses and interchanges as part of increased security in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
The increased vigilance on bridges and overpasses was triggered by last week's FBI warning that suspension bridges in western states could be terrorist targets. The FBI notified law enforcement agencies in eight Western states late Thursday after California Gov. Gray Davis said law enforcement officials had "credible evidence" that four California bridges, including the Golden Gate, may be the target of rush-hour attacks.
Illinois state police emphasized that unlike California, officials have received no information that any area bridges are being targeted by terrorists.
