IdleAire Opens 4 New Sites; Total of 50 By Late June
IdleAire has opened the first four of about 210 new locations planned by the end of first quarter 2007, has 10 more currently under construction and will open seven new locations this month.
IdleAire has opened the first four of about 210 new locations planned by the end of first quarter 2007, has 10 more currently under construction and will open seven new locations this month.
The company says it expects to be operating 50 locations by the end of June.
New locations available to fleets and drivers include the Pilot in Laredo, Texas, the TA in New Braunfels, Texas, Ontario East TA in Ontario, Calif., and the TA on Lovell Road in Knoxville, Tenn.
Currently under construction are the Ontario West TA in Ontario, Calif., the TA in Cartersville, Ga., the Petro in North Little Rock, Ark., the TA in Coachella, Calif., expansion of the existing Petro installation in Atlanta, Ga., the TA in Jackson, Ga., the TA in Spartanburg (Duncan), S.C., the Petro in Carlisle, Pa., the Petro in Wheeler Ridge, Calif., and the TA in Amarillo (West), Texas.
“We will be increasing the speed of our installations as our vendors catch up with our orders,” said Executive Vice President Lynn Youngs. “By the end of June we should be operating 50 locations. By early summer, we expect to begin construction on an average of one new site each weekday, to be followed six weeks later by a new site opening each weekday.”
