Rand McNally's Transportation Data Management subsidiary announced that Innovative Computing Corp. (ICC) has selected Rand McNally's MileMaker software for rating and routing capabilities.
MileMaker will be used in ICC's new Enterprise Business Server Provider (BSP) applications, Access and Access Plus.
ICC's Access and Access Plus are hosted Application Service Providers (ASPs) designed for use by truckload carriers. Access is designed for trucking companies with less than 100 trucks, and Access Plus is for trucking companies with more than 100 trucks. Both products are hosted by ICC's own IBM iSeries platform server and do not require a customer to install and host software.
MileMaker AS/400 resident platform software currently provides ICC's Innovative Enterprise Software (IES) with Household Goods or Practical mileage calculations for freight bill routing and invoicing, driver settlement and state mileage breakdown. The integration of MileMaker with Access and Access Plus will provide routing optimization and mileage calculations to a new customer base.
Mileage calculations and routing provided by MileMaker software will be incorporated into ICC's Access and Access Plus to support tasks related to operations, administration, risk management, fleet maintenance and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). MileMaker software will also interface with third-party products to facilitate functions such as mobile communications and fuel and money services.
