To help businesses nationwide meet the challenge of training drivers on the new changes to the FMCSA’s new Hours of Service regulations, MANCOMM has revised and expanded its DVD, “Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Instruction Series: Hours of Service.”
The 24-minute presentation is part of its complete range of “Commercial Motor Vehicle Operation Instruction Series” DVDs, which also includes the following titles: “Pre-Trip Inspection,” “General or Core Knowledge,” “Combination: Tractor and Trailer,” “Air Brakes,” and “Tankers.” All titles are also available in VHS format.
“The new Hours of Service changes will affect the operations and time-tables of trucking companies nationwide,” said Benjamin Mangan, president of MANCOMM and its partner business, American Safety Training Inc., which develops and hosts train-the-trainer safety seminars nationwide. “By educating drivers as soon as possible, trucking companies can prevent penalties for violating FMCSA regulations.”
“These changes can get fairly complex in real-life applications,” said Mangan. “Our revised DVD explains the new rules in an easy-to-understand manner, enhanced with video footage and computer graphics to aid each driver’s comprehension of the information.”
