Heavy Duty Trucking has been named a finalist in the 61st annual Jesse H. Neal Awards competition for editorial excellence among business-to-business media.

Heavy Duty Trucking has been named a finalist in the 61st annual Jesse H. Neal Awards competition for editorial excellence among business-to-business media.
"Get Ready to Say Goodbye to Paper Logs," a news analysis piece in the April 2014 issue of HDT, is a finalist for Best News Story. The story was written by then-Washington Editor Oliver Patton, who has since retired from trucking reporting.
The Neal Awards, often called "The Pulitzer Prize of the business press," are a competition put on by ABM, an association of business information and media companies.
Established in 1955, the Neal Awards recognize and reward editorial excellence in business media. They are presented annually to those editors who have submitted entries exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the field and editorial craftsmanship.
Finalists for the Neal Awards include 204 journalists and their media brands. This year's awards recognize a range of traditional categories, including best news coverage, commentary, and technical content, as well as digital platforms, including best blog, mobile app, social media and webcast. Neal Awards finalists represent the changing face of B2B media, recognizing new all-digital products and services.
The Association of Business Information & Media Companies (ABM) is a division of the Software & Information Industry Association. Winners will be announced during a special awards ceremony held March 27 at Pier 60 in New York City.
