Heavy Duty Trucking Announces 2010 Top 20 New Products
Heavy Duty Trucking and Truckinginfo.com are pleased to announce the winners of the Top 20 Products for 2010

Each year, we receive hundreds of new product announcements, and in the fall, your editors begin the challenge of searching for a precious few that are truly innovative and appear likely to contribute to safety, the bottom line, or overall operating efficiency. It's no small task, we assure you.
After short-listing a few dozen contenders, we get serious with the evaluation by bringing in some industry experts. Editors, as you may imagine, are good at the 40,000-ft view of things -- maybe even a 10,000-ft view in some cases -- but to get a sense of whether or not the products in question have a chance in the real world, we hand the final call off to a few folks with real dirt under their fingernails. To that group, we are eternally grateful.
This year's group of TMC judges were Ken Eggen, vice president of operations at Q Fix Truck Service in Louisville, Ky.; Joe Stianche, vice president of maintenance at KLLM in Ellisville, Miss.; and Doug White, vice president of maintenance for Dunbar Armored, Hunt Valley, Md. They were led by Darry Stuart, president of DWS Fleet Management Service, Wrentham, Mass., and former TMC chairman.
The awards were presented at the annual Technology & Maintenance Council meeting in Tampa, Fla. by Newport Business Media publisher Kate Miller.
