The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) Heavy Duty Transmission Division will be hosting their annual technical clinic on July 16 & 17 in Milwaukee.
Adding to the already announced presentations by AxleTech and Oshkosh, attendees will hear from veteran financial analyst Will Burnett on "How to Value Your Business, and Why it's Important." With today's increasing consolidation, it's not inconceivable that as a good heavy duty remanufacturer you may be approached by firms that want to enter the business or are looking to expand their existing business.
Will Burnett is a partner in the Owner Resource Group of New York City, and brings a wealth of knowledge to the financing of small and mid-sized companies. By helping business owners understand how the financial community evaluates a business, the owner can make smart decisions on the operation, and/or sale of the business and financing the business. Managing your business to maximize value has many benefits whether you intend to sell your business or not.
The tour of AxleTech in Oshkosh, Wis., on Thursday, July 17, will be followed by a lunch at the facility. Starting out as the former Rockwell International Off Highway Division, the AxleTech Oshkosh plant now services the needs of commercial on highway and specialty vehicle carriers, drivelines and brakes.
The group also will tour the Pierce Manufacturing Fire Truck operation in Appleton, Wis. Pierce manufactures a complete line of firefighting vehicles.
