Heavy Duty Dialogue 2006 is timed to give heavy duty suppliers the opportunity to discuss important industry topics,
such as regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) scheduled to go into effect in 2007.
The biennial conference, organized by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Assn. (HDMA), is set for Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 6-7, 2006, at the Atlanta Airport Hilton & Towers at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport.
"The timing of Heavy Duty Dialogue 2006 is just 10 months prior to the implementation of the 2007 EPA emissions regulations on diesel engines and the implementation of NHTSA’s stopping distance regulations," said Rich Adams, vice president, automotive, The Timken Co., Birmingham, Mich., and chairman of HDMA. "This conference will give industry executives an ideal opportunity to assess where the industry is and make appropriate adjustments in their plans for their companies."
According to Tim Kraus, HDMA executive director, Heavy Duty Dialogue 2006 will follow the same format as past conferences.
"Our tradition of featuring the top industry leaders in a program designed for attendees’ maximum convenience will continue at the 2006 conference."
HDMA will announce the conference theme by year-end. For details on sponsorship opportunities at the conference, contact Kraus at (919) 549-4800 or hdma@mema.org
