The 11th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week is a gathering of the independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry. Set to begin on Jan. 25, it will offer attendees educational programs, a product expo, peer networking, social activities and meetings for suppliers and distributors.
Last year, more than 2,200 executives and managers from 8 different countries attended the conference, including distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and industry media.
Taking place from Jan. 25-28 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, the event will feature keynote speaker Frank Luntz, a political pollster, political advisor and author of the book “Candidates, Consultants & Campaigns.” He is credited with being a key architect behind the Republican takeover of the House of Representatives in 1994.
His speech will touch on how choosing the right words can change the course of politics and life in the country and will offer a look at how the tactical use of words and phrases can affect buying habits, voting habits and belief.
Returning this year is the popular poker tournament. The event has been donated by Datalliance/HDX to GenNext this year, which is hosting the event. It is a friendly tournament of Texas Hold’em No-Limit Poker run by the Mirage Poker Room. It features an opportunity for poker amateurs, beginners and experienced players to play in a professional tournament setting, pitting colleagues, vendors, distributors and other attendees against each other.
GenNext is a select group of young and influential heavy-duty trucking aftermarket leaders with a goal of educating, mentoring, and recruiting the next generation of heavy-duty aftermarket leaders.
HDAW is a business-to-business, executive conference presented by a joint operating committee of industry leaders from 13 industry associations: American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists, Association of Diesel Specialists, Auto Care Association/ HDDA, Automotive Electric Association, Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network, HDA-Truck Pride, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, APRA's Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group, International Truck Parts Association, Overseas Automotive Council, Power Heavy Duty, Service Specialists Association and Vipar Heavy Duty.
