Heavy Duty Trucking magazine has won a National Gold award in the 2017 Azbee Awards of Excellence for last year’s editorial series on the Modern Maintenance Manager.
The Azbee Awards are for business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications and are given out by the American Society of Business Publication Editors. The awards recognize outstanding journalism by magazines, newsletters, and digital media.
Editor in Chief Deborah Lockridge, Executive Editor David Cullen, and Technology Contributing Editor Jim Beach were recognized for their work on the Modern Maintenance Manager series by being presented with a National Gold award for a print feature series in ASBPE's Pacific region. The Modern Maintenance Manager series was recognized earlier in the month as a Regional Gold winner as well.

Speaking at the TMC Annual Meeting in Nashville, ATA President Chris Spear said trucking faces mounting pressure from rising fuel prices, geopolitical instability, and uncertainty around trade policy.
