Members of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) are invited to attend a first-class event for senior executives and manufacturing managers in the automotive and trucking industry.
“Business Intelligence for Manufacturing – Winning Customers for Life,” is the title of the event, which will take place April 25-26 at SAS World Headquarters in Cary, N.C. Join leaders from other industries who will share best practices and lead discussion in ways to use data to manage some of the aftermarket industry’s most critical issues through better data:
• Manage Inventory Levels
• Reduce Warranty and Returns
• Generate Better Forecasting
Today there is a growing trend for manufacturers seeking higher performance to exploit quality, warranty and service as a source for competitive differentiation. By attending this event you will learn how best-in-class companies have implemented successful initiatives to improve product quality, reduce warranty costs, eliminate potential product defects and minimize losses from inaccurate forecasts and inventories as well as returns and repair operations.
The conference kicks off with a keynote address by Dick Hunter, vice president of Americas Manufacturing Operations for Dell. Another conference highlight is a presentation by Ken Culver, director of Warranty, Quality and Reliability for Volvo/Mack Trucks, North America, who will share best practices from one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle makers.
There will also be panel discussions on warranty and forecasting. HDMA members are invited to attend the event (and golf) at no cost, compliments of SAS. But you must register because seats are limited.
For more information, a complete agenda or to register, go to: www.sas.com/events/execconf/invite/mec06/.
