The organizers of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week have announced the categories and sponsors of the awards presented at the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
The awards are:
* Top 5 Products, awarded by Newport Communications/Heavy Duty Trucking/Heavy Duty Aftermarket Journal
* Distributor of the Year, awarded by Truck Parts and Service Magazine
* Technician of the Year, awarded by SKF/Bendix/Haldex/Dayton/Mahle
* HD Hall of Fame Award, awarded by R.L. Polk & Co.
"HDAW is a conference developed to bring together the best that the industry has to offer," says Marc Karon of Total Truck Parts, HDAW'09 co-chair. "The week wraps up with a luncheon honoring the best of the best with the HD Aftermarket Industry Awards Luncheon."

HDAW'09 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Monday, Feb. 16 through Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. The event is sponsored by Heavy Duty Distribution Association, Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network.
HDAW is the largest North American gathering of the independent heavy duty industry. More than 1,800 managers and executives from 17 countries including distributors, manufacturers, service providers, educators and media attended the 2008 conference. HDAW is presented by a joint operating committee comprised of industry leaders from American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS), Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN), Heavy Duty America (HDA), Heavy Duty Distribution Association (HDDA), Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG), International Truck Parts Association (ITPA), Overseas Automotive Council (OAC), Power Heavy Duty, Service Specialists Association (SSA), Truck Pride, Truck Frame and Axle Repair Association (TARA) and VIPAR Heavy Duty.
