One highlight of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group Summit '08 at HDAW in Las Vegas next month will be a luncheon featuring the first annual "Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year."
The inaugural award will be presented
to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. An ad hoc committee will make the choice this year and a standing HDRG committee will be chosen to evaluate future award recipients.
According to Bill Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA), "Two years ago the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group (HDRG) was formed to further the interests of the heavy-duty remanufacturer members of APRA. Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard-working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon this year. "
Gager said a high percentage of APRA members participate in the heavy-duty marketplace.
The registration fee for the HDRG Summit will include admittance to the luncheon. Gager added, "We hope all heavy-duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy-duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace."
HDAW is an industry-driven week of meetings, conferences and a trade show to centralize the industry's trade events in one place at one time. Most top executives of major component suppliers will be in attendance and this week provides an opportunity for attendees to network with their peers in the business. The HDRG Summit will feature a program of leading industry figures discussing the future technologies facing the remanufacturer of tomorrow. For complete details, visit www.hdrg.org or call Bill Gager at (703) 968-2772, ext. 103 or e-mail gager@buyreman.com.
