Ground Control, provider of mobile and fixed satellite Internet access and application solutions, and Hughes Network Systems (HNS), provider of broadband satellite network solutions, have announced an agreement to provide Direcway two-way, high-speed satellite communications services.
As an HNS reseller, Ground Control will offer DIRECWAY fixed and mobile solutions to its enterprise customer base. "Direcway's applications provide businesses, such as construction companies, with critical network and wireless connectivity from remote locations such as trailers and trucks in new developments where other access is not available," said Tony Coles, president and CEO of Ground Control. "Another focus is disaster recovery and emergency response organizations, which need to connect from mobile command vehicles in regions where the terrestrial networks are nonexistent or suffering from outages."
"Hughes Network Systems is an innovative partner offering industry-leading expertise with a stable platform to support our business objectives," said Coles. "HNS' commitment to its partners and the sustained growth of the satellite industry were central to our decision to partner with them. We plan to work with HNS for many years to come."
Ned Kazor, senior director of Channel Marketing for HNS said, "We look forward to working with Ground Control to better serve its customers through the integration of Direcway products and services."
