Grote Industries of Madison, Ind., has announced a joint venture with European lighting company Rinder Group of Spain.
The new company, called Luxi, will be headquartered in Guernica, Spain and Madison, Ind. John Grote was recently named managing director of Luxi in the European Union (EU).
With engineering centers in the US and Europe and manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada, Mexico, Spain, India and Portugal, Luxi will be positioned to provide state-of-the-art product in forward lighting, signal lighting, work lights, harness systems and vehicle safety accessories. The company can also provide custom solutions conforming to SAE-DOT, E-Mark and ARAI standards as well as OEM and aftermarket innovation for vehicles ranging from motorcycles to Class 8 haulers.
Rinder is well known throughout the EU, with an OEM customer base that includes Iveco, Kubota, Jaguar, Rover and Nissan. An expansion plan began in 1997 with a new manufacturing location in Asia.
Grote Industries is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of vehicle safety systems and is QS-9000, ISO-14001 and, recently, TS-16949 certified. Grote products include LED and incandescent lamps, mirrors, obstacle detection systems and reflective accessories.
