Gronbach to Discuss Shifting Demographics at HD Dialogue
Heavy Duty Dialogue '09, with the theme of The Commercial Vehicle Industry in Transition, will feature Ken Gronbach, noted author, futurist and demographer

Gronbach is a marketing expert who regularly provides counsel to Fortune 500 companies as well as large and small privately held businesses across the United States. In his 2005 book "Common Census, the Counter-Intuitive Guide to Generational Marketing," he translated a common sense understanding of shifting demography and the related opportunities and consequences. His new book, "Age Curve, How to Profit from the coming Demographic Storm" details the secrets of positioning your business or organization in front of new markets and advancing populations.
During Heavy Duty Dialogue, Gronbach will drill down into the realities of rapidly shifting U.S. demographic trends, and the effect the changing trends will have on the commercial vehicle industry and our whole society.
"We are very pleased at the opportunity to have Ken Gronbach bring his views and insight on the challenges facing business in light of the changing U.S. workforce to our members and attendees at Heavy Duty Dialogue '09," said Tim Kraus, president and COO of Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association. "His insight will provide attendees a viewpoint many businesses have not considered before and one that will have a profound workforce impact."
The HDD '09 program will also include coverage of major issues such as a legislative and regulatory discussion, a CEO panel on mega trends and strategy, an industry forecast defining the near and long term future for the industry, a high-level presentation on U.S. energy policy, and economic and environmental sustainability.
Heavy Duty Dialogue '09 will be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 16. HDD'09 immediately precedes Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '09.
